Safeguarding Statement
We, the Franciscan Sisters Minoress are happy to comply fully with the guidelines, procedures and standards set out by of the Catholic Safeguarding Advisory Service (CSAS) and the case management support of the Religious Life Safeguarding Service (RLSS) to ensure the safety and welfare of all children and adults at risk.
The protection of people and safeguarding responsibilities is a governance priority. The Trustees of the Congregation are responsible for taking all reasonable steps to protect from harm all who come into contact with the Congregation. We are fully committed to ensuring that Safeguarding is understood and implemented by all our Sisters. Our Sisters keep up to date with the developments in safeguarding practices and arrangements and know what is expected of them as Religious as we continue our ministry both within our Congregation / communities and in the wider community of the Parish and or Diocese.
Any concerns can be raised with our Safeguarding Lead. Anyone who brings concerns or allegations to the notice of the Congregation will be responded to sensitively, respectfully and seriously. All concerns and allegations will be addressed using the national procedures and in a timely manner.
